Flyer Beware: Major Airlines Report Bogus Emails Containing Major Virus

If you received an email from a major airline confirming a
booking confirmation that you did not make, you better think twice before you
open the bogus email.
 Many of the major airlines have reported that internet
users around the country have received bogus email confirmations to internet
users who have not made a reservation. Due to the number of airlines reporting
the fake emails, you should be careful any time you open an email from an
airline requesting you to review an airline confirmation for airline tickets you
have not made.
These emails have a virus called Trojan Sbot1775, which can
corrupt your computer. The attachments are believed to be from Russian scammers.
Last week, United Parcel customers experienced similar spam attacks. Airlines
who reported these bogus emails were Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Sun
Country Airlines, American Airlines, Midwest Airlines and maybe more.
As the expression from the sargent on Hill Street Blues always
said at the end of roll call, "Be Careful Out There."
